Trader consensus favors the New York Yankees at 34% implied probability to win the 2026 AL East despite placing aces Gerrit Cole and Carlos Rodón on the 15-day injured list on Opening Day weekend, alongside shortstop Anthony Volpe's 10-day IL stint, tempering their rotation depth after re-signings like Cody Bellinger and Paul Goldschmidt. Boston Red Sox (25%) bolstered pitching with Sonny Gray, Ranger Suárez trades and Willson Contreras addition, while Toronto Blue Jays (24%) landed Dylan Cease on a seven-year megadeal alongside Max Scherzer's return. Baltimore Orioles (20.5%) gained power via Pete Alonso's $155 million pact and Shane Baz acquisition; Tampa Bay Rays (6.2%) lag post-trades depleting their farm and bullpen. Early 2-0 Yankees start underscores the tight projected 85-90 win cluster in MLB's deepest division.

In the event of a tie, this market will resolve according to the official winner as determined by MLB rules. If multiple winners are announced then this market will resolve to the team whose listed nickname comes first alphabetically.
If at any point it becomes impossible for a listed team to be named the 2026 American League East division champion per the rules of the MLB (e.g., they are eliminated in the playoffs), the corresponding market will resolve to “No”.
If the 2026 MLB regular season is cancelled, postponed after October 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or there is otherwise no winner declared within that timeframe, this market will resolve to “Other”.
The primary resolution source will be official information from Major League Baseball (https://www.mlb.com/); however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
