Yidi Wang holds a narrow edge as the ITTF World Ranking No. 8 over No. 35 Hoi Kem Doo, bolstered by a 3-1 round-of-32 victory over her in the WTT Singapore Smash last month, driving trader consensus to 52.5% implied probability in this closely contested women's singles matchup. Doo's veteran experience in WTT main draws, including a mixed doubles bronze at Singapore Smash and a competitive round-of-32 loss to Cheng I-Ching at recent WTT Champions Chongqing, underscores her upset potential despite the ranking gap. Both players exited Chongqing early—Wang in semifinals to Kuai Man—leaving no clear momentum shift; service consistency and forehand loops could tip the best-of-seven, as table tennis volatility often levels top seeds against resilient challengers.
