With no prior head-to-head record, Mak's rising trajectory as a 21-year-old Macao representative adds upset potential, bolstered by home-crowd support at Galaxy Arena and recent regional wins. The competitive balance stems from Lind's past upsets against top seeds contrasted by his inconsistent results in Singapore Smash, while late scratches, fatigue from travel, or stylistic edges in spin and footwork could shift odds pre-match.
