Philadelphia Phillies head to Coors Field for the Rockies' home opener on April 3, where thin air typically boosts offense and challenges pitchers in this early-season series. Aaron Nola takes the mound for the Phillies against Michael Lorenzen for Colorado, giving Philadelphia a rotation edge amid Zack Wheeler's ongoing shoulder recovery sidelining their ace. The Phillies sit at 1-2 after a mixed start, while the winless 0-3 Rockies contend with outfield injuries to Tyler Freeman (back), Mickey Moniak (finger), and Zac Veen, thinning their lineup depth. Recent form favors the Phillies' superior batting core including Schwarber and Harper, though Coors' volatility keeps upsets possible.
