Svajda rides momentum from a career-highlight upset over Marin Cilic in Indian Wells R1 before a R2 exit, posting a strong 17-6 YTD record mostly on hard courts, though his 2026 clay slate remains untested. Vallejo brings fresher clay exposure via recent Asuncion Challenger action, reaching quarters before a last-16 loss to Franco Roncadelli, with a 10-5 season amid South American swing results. Home-crowd edge favors the American, but Paraguayan's surface affinity could level the closely contested opener against potential next foes Tommy Paul or Alex Michelsen.
