With semifinals looming on April 30, Aston Villa stands as the sole unbeaten side through knockouts—bye to round of 16, then clean-sheet wins over Lille (3-0 agg.) and Bologna (7-1 agg.)—fueling "Yes" hope amid trader consensus pricing "No" at 51.5%. However, Villa face a stern test in the two-legged semi against Nottingham Forest, who advanced via penalties past Midtjylland despite prior losses and hold home advantage first leg after edging Porto 2-1 agg. The other semi pits Braga (loss to Ferencváros) versus Freiburg (loss to Genk), ensuring any champion from there carries a defeat. Quarterfinal second legs last week (April 16) preserved Villa's run but highlighted rivals' resilience, creating tight balance; key injuries or Forest/Villa slip could swing odds sharply.
