Manchester United leads trader consensus for Premier League third place at 62% implied probability, anchored by their current third-place standing on 55 points from 31 matches—just one ahead of Aston Villa on 54—bolstered by top form across matchdays 22-31 under interim manager Michael Carrick, who took over in January and delivered key wins including a 3-1 victory over Villa last month and an earlier derby triumph against Manchester City. Liverpool sits fifth on 49 points despite a fresh 2-1 upset over City in matchweek 30, but trails by six points with tougher remaining fixtures amid inconsistent form. Villa's recent draw-heavy slump has eroded their momentum, while chasers like Chelsea face steeper climbs from deeper table positions, emphasizing United's favorable path to a Champions League spot.
