Oklahoma City Thunder's league-leading 29-13 record and plus-12.1 net rating anchor their 91% implied probability for the NBA's best regular-season mark, fueled by Shai Gilgeous-Alexander's MVP-caliber 31.5 PPG alongside Chet Holmgren's elite rim protection and a top-ranked defense allowing just 104.2 points per game. Traders price in the Thunder's 16-game win streak earlier this season and favorable remaining schedule against sub-.500 foes, reflecting the wisdom of crowds on their sustained dominance. San Antonio Spurs trail at 6% odds with Wembanyama's breakout but face a steeper path amid youth inexperience; realistic Thunder challengers hinge on SGA injury risks, late-season fatigue, or rivals like Boston exploiting homecourt edges in a compressed West race.
