This market will resolve to the player who wins the 2026 MLS Defender of the Year award. In the event of a tie, this market will resolve according to the official winner as determined by MLS rules. If multiple winners are announced then this market will resolve to the player whose listed last name comes first alphabetically. If the 2026 MLS season is cancelled, postponed after December 31, 2026 ET, or there is otherwise no winner declared within that timeframe, this market will resolve to “Other”. The resolution source for this market will be official information from Major League Soccer; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used. With the 2026 MLS season just five matchdays in, trader consensus clusters tightly around 42-44% implied probabilities for frontrunners Robert Voloder (New York Red Bulls), Andrew Privett (Charlotte FC), Matt Miazga and Miles Robinson (FC Cincinnati), reflecting evenly matched center-backs on playoff-contending sides amid early defensive parity. Nashville SC's Yeimar Gómez Andrade (42.7%) benefits from his club's co-leading Supporters' Shield position and stingy two goals conceded, while Voloder's transfer from Sporting KC has bolstered NYRB's backline despite their leaky record. No standout in clean sheets or tackles per 90 has emerged, with Privett and Miazga anchoring solid units; recent fines like Robinson's underscore physical intensity without derailing momentum in this wide-open race.
