Trader consensus on Polymarket's AL Manager of the Year market reflects extreme early-season parity after one week of 2026 play, with top implied probabilities tightly clustered at 42-43.5% for Derek Shelton (Twins, 1-3 but rebound potential post-Pirates hire), Skip Schumaker (Rangers, leading AL West at 4-1 in debut year), Aaron Boone (Yankees, 4-1 atop AL East), A.J. Hinch (Tigers, 2-3 amid low preseason expectations), and Mark Kotsay (Athletics, 1-4 with roster constraints). New managers like Craig Albernaz (Orioles, 2-3), Joe Espada (Astros, 4-2), and Stephen Vogt (Guardians, 3-3) cluster nearby, as division standings, recent form streaks (e.g., Rangers' W4), pitching rotations, and bullpen usage signal multiple overachievement paths in a crowded wild card race. Sustained health and schedule strength will separate frontrunners over 162 games.
