Sri Lanka holds a 64% implied probability as trader consensus favors their superior head-to-head record against Afghanistan in ODIs, winning 14 of 21 encounters including a clean 3-0 sweep in the 2024 UAE series. Recent bilateral dominance stems from Sri Lanka's deeper batting order—led by Charith Asalanka and Pathum Nissanka—and versatile pace attack suiting Dubai International Stadium's true-bounce pitches, where spinners like Afghanistan's Rashid Khan can thrive but historically struggle to contain SL's middle order. No major injuries or lineup changes reported in the past month; Afghanistan's momentum from domestic form offers upset potential in a competitive matchup, but the March 2026 three-ODI series postponement due to Middle East conflict leaves odds anchored to established dynamics.
