Both Kolkata Knight Riders and Sunrisers Hyderabad enter IPL 2026 Match 6 at batting-friendly Eden Gardens desperate for their first win after opening losses—KKR fell chasing 224 against Mumbai Indians despite posting 221, while SRH collapsed to 201 all out in a heavy defeat to Royal Challengers Bengaluru. KKR's pace attack is decimated by injuries to Harshit Rana (knee, season-ending), Akash Deep (back), and Matheesha Pathirana (calf, mid-April return), forcing reliance on inexperienced seamers and spinners Sunil Narine and Varun Chakravarthy against SRH's spin-hitting top order. SRH miss Pat Cummins (back) and Brydon Carse (hand), leaning on cutters from Harshal Patel and David Payne. Dew likely favors chasing on the small ground, with toss pivotal; KKR hold a dominant 20-10 head-to-head edge, including recent Kolkata routs of SRH.
