Valentin Vacherot enters as the higher-ranked player at No. 23 against Kamil Majchrzak at No. 53 in this Rolex Monte Carlo Masters first-round clash on clay, buoyed by home-crowd support as a Monegasque wildcard and recent momentum from a Miami Masters R3 run where he upset Matteo Berrettini. Majchrzak, likely through qualifying, showed clay form last week in Marrakech with a R1 win over Juan Manuel Cerundolo before a R16 loss to Marco Trungelliti, but faces fatigue from extra matches. No head-to-head exists; Vacherot's limited ATP clay record (1-6 career) meets Majchrzak's steadier surface experience, with outdoor conditions and a potential Lorenzo Musetti matchup next adding stakes for both in the ATP Masters 1000 draw.
