In the Menorca Challenger second round on red clay, both Matteo Martineau and Raul Brancaccio advanced via opponent retirements in their first-round matches yesterday—Martineau over Pedro Vives Marcos and Brancaccio over higher-ranked Sebastian Ofner—keeping trader focus on their clay-court form amid no reported injuries. The Frenchman, ranked No. 330, carries momentum from upsetting Stan Wawrinka in Naples Challenger round two last week, posting a 2-1 clay record this year, while the No. 379 Italian boasts a stronger 6-4 clay mark and a Cesenatico Challenger final run earlier in 2026. Brancaccio leads their lone head-to-head 6-3, 6-0 on clay from 2022, setting up a tight baseline battle where serve efficiency and endurance could sway the outcome.
