In the ATP Challenger Naples clay-court final at Campo D'Avalos, Daniel Altmaier (No. 55) meets Hamad Medjedovic (No. 115) for their fourth head-to-head clash, where Altmaier leads 2-1 including a grueling five-set US Open first-round victory last August. Altmaier, rebounding from a 4-8 start to 2026 with a 4-2 clay record, advanced via straight-set wins over Miguel Damas and Enrico Dalla Valle before a three-set semifinal comeback against Federico Bondioli. Medjedovic, sharper at 10-5 YTD and 4-0 on clay, powered through Hynek Barton, Stefanos Sakellaridis, a dominant 6-2 6-2 quarterfinal over Alexandre Muller, and a 7-5 6-1 semifinal win over Vitaliy Sachko despite recent rain delays. No injury concerns reported; expect a competitive baseline battle on the slower surface favoring endurance.
