His scorching back-nine surge at windy TPC San Antonio - The Oaks Course, where precise irons and hot putting shine, has propelled the lefty Scot ahead of a chasing pack including Åberg (consistent 67s) and T3 at 9-under like Tony Finau and Kevin Roy. Mackenzie Hughes and Chad Ramey draw elevated odds from solid mid-pack positioning and grouping in Round 3 tee times, while longshots like Doug Ghim and Adrien Dumont de Chassart reflect qualifier momentum amid a deep field eyeing the winner's Masters invite. Round 2 suspension resumes early Saturday before moving day, with firm conditions favoring leaders but gusts testing chasers.
