World No.16 Darko Jorgic enters ITTF World Cup Macao 2026 Men's Singles Group 13 as a perceived even-money favorite at 50% implied probability against No.123 Timothy Choi, underscoring table tennis's inherent unpredictability in the new best-of-five group stage format amid a competitive round-robin with top-20 An Jaehyun. Jorgic's trader pricing tempers his experience after a recent round-of-32 upset loss to Nicholas Lum at WTT Champions Chongqing, signaling possible fatigue or matchup vulnerabilities to aggressive youth styles. Choi, an 18-year-old New Zealander, brings qualification momentum from ITTF-Oceania events and a career-high ranking push into top-120, fueling upset potential. Pre-match warm-ups, minor withdrawals, or confirmed lineups could shift odds in this high-stakes opener starting March 30.
