Elon Musk's March 10 announcement that X Money early public access launches this month has solidified trader consensus around an imminent rollout, following internal beta testing with Cross River Bank and money transmitter licenses secured in over 40 U.S. states. This positions the X platform as a WeChat-style everything app, featuring peer-to-peer transfers, 6% yield on balances, and Visa-backed debit cards amid partnerships like the recent Visa deal highlighted by CEO Linda Yaccarino. Competitive pressure from Venmo and PayPal, plus regulatory hurdles in remaining states, tempers full optimism; watch for beta user feedback and expansion announcements this week, as delays in feature integration could shift market-implied odds.
