The field features strong challengers including Vincent Keymer, reigning world champion Gukesh Dommaraju, Praggnanandhaa Rameshbabu, Wesley So, and Alireza Firouzja, all ranked in the global top 11 and carrying recent classical form. Keymer’s rising trajectory and the Indian duo’s head-to-head results against Carlsen provide the main paths for an upset, though the Norwegian’s experience in this format continues to shape trader pricing ahead of the May 25 start.
