Jenny Lim and Shannon Lam meet in the round of 16 at the ITF W15 Oliva on outdoor clay, their second encounter in eight days after Lam defeated Lim 6-3, 6-2 on the same surface at the W35 Estepona. Lim holds the higher WTA ranking near 546 while Lam sits around 705, though both compete regularly on the ITF circuit with limited main-tour experience. The quick rematch on clay emphasizes baseline consistency, movement, and endurance, where recent form and head-to-head results often shape outcomes more than ranking gaps at this level. No major injuries or withdrawals have been reported for either player ahead of the May 28 contest.
