This market will resolve according to the candidate who wins the nomination for the Democratic Party to contest the GA-13 congressional district seat in the U.S. House of Representatives in the 2026 midterm elections. The Democratic primary will take place on May 19, 2026. If no nominee is announced by November 3, 2026, 11:59PM ET, this market will resolve to "Other". The resolution source for this market will be a consensus of official Democrat sources, including https://democrats.org/. Any replacement of the nominee before election day will not change the resolution of the market.Incumbent Rep. David Scott holds a slim trader consensus edge at 34% over state Rep. Jasmine Clark's 33.5% in the GA-13 Democratic primary, mirroring a March Z to A Research poll showing them statistically tied at 31%-30% with 12% undecided amid a crowded field. Scott's long tenure faces headwinds from past voting absences and calls for generational change, while Clark leverages endorsements like Higher Heights for America PAC targeting Black women voters in this diverse DeKalb-Gwinnett district. Everton Blair Jr. at 21% benefits from Ron McKenzie's February endorsement and appeals to progressives rejecting corporate PACs. With the May 19 primary six weeks away—requiring a majority to avoid a runoff—separation could stem from major endorsements, fundraising surges, or debates swaying undecideds and turnout in early voting starting April 27.
