Florida's 22nd congressional district race remains an open contest following mid-decade redistricting signed into law in early May 2026, which shifted boundaries across Broward and Palm Beach counties and produced a district with a modest Democratic partisan voting index. Multiple Democratic candidates, including incumbent Lois Frankel, are competing in the August 18 primary, while Republican contenders such as Michael Carbonara have adjusted campaigns in response to the new map. Trader consensus currently assigns the Democratic nominee a narrow edge, reflecting the district's underlying demographics and historical voting patterns ahead of the November general election. No major polling has emerged yet, leaving room for shifts based on primary results and national midterm dynamics.
