This market will resolve to the player who records the most assists through all rounds of the 2026 FIFA World Cup competition. In the event of a tie, this market will resolve according to the official leader as determined by FIFA World Cup rules. If multiple leaders are announced then this market will resolve to the player who completed more passes during the 2026 FIFA World Cup. If a tie still persists, this market will resolve to the player whose listed last name comes first alphabetically. If the 2026 FIFA World Cup competition is cancelled, postponed after August 2, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or there is otherwise no official leader declared within that timeframe, this market will resolve to “Other”. The resolution source for this market will be official information from FIFA; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used. The tightly bunched probabilities around 45-47% for Marcel Sabitzer, Antonee Robinson, Ismael Díaz, Ismaïla Sarr and several other creative midfielders and wingers reflect a wide-open race for the FIFA World Cup assists leader. No player enters the tournament with a dominant edge in chance creation or set-piece delivery, as national-team attacking systems distribute playmaking duties across multiple positions. Recent club form, qualifying contributions and squad depth have kept several candidates in contention without producing a clear frontrunner, while historical World Cup data shows assists often spread among multiple players on deep runs. Traders appear to price the market as highly competitive, with minor differences in expected minutes or team success likely to decide the outcome once the group stage begins.
