The surface switch to clay—favoring both Argentine and Brazilian baselines—evens the stylistic matchup, with Ficovich's recent quarterfinal run in Morelia offset by Alves' youth (25 vs. 29) and potential for improved movement on the slower surface. Key swing factors include pre-match injury reports, weather impacting outdoor play, or last-minute withdrawals, as no such updates have emerged in the past 48 hours.
