If at any point it becomes impossible for a listed repair to be voted as the winner of the 2026 edition of Mayor’s Municipal Madness (e.g. it is not voted the winner in a given matchup), the corresponding market will resolve to “No”. If multiple repairs are declared the winner of the 2026 edition of Mayor’s Municipal Madness, this market will resolve in favor of the listed neighborhood or park receiving a repair that is listed first alphabetically. If this event is cancelled, postponed after April 17, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or a winner has not been declared within this timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other". The resolution source will be official information from the City of New York (https://www.nyc.gov/main/municipal-madness); however a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.In the semifinals of New York City Mayor Zohran Kwame Mamdani's inaugural Municipal Madness bracket competition, trader consensus shows Repair playground fencing in Morris Park holding a slim edge at 45.5% implied probability over Clean up illegal dumping in Soundview at 43%, with Resurface a basketball court in Morrisania and Replace missing litter baskets in Bushwick trailing closely at 43% and 41%. These top contenders advanced after quarterfinal victories announced March 30 following over 11,000 votes in earlier rounds, reflecting strong Bronx neighborhood support for safety, cleanliness, and recreational fixes amid modest overall turnout. The race stays tight due to comparable voter appeal and potential for localized social media pushes; championship voting through April 3 could separate leaders, with the official winner resolved upon announcement for the mayor's personal day-100 fix.
