UConn leads trader consensus to reach the NCAA Tournament National Championship after a dominant Final Four path, dismantling Illinois 77-52 in the Elite Eight behind Tristen Newton's 25 points. Their semifinal clash with Alabama pits the defending champs' elite defense against the Crimson Tide's explosive Mark Sears-fueled offense, which surged past Clemson. Purdue, anchored by Zach Edey's 40-point, 16-rebound Elite Eight gem over Tennessee, faces NC State's Cinderella surge—11 straight wins from the No. 11 seed, including upsets over Marquette and Duke. Semifinals Saturday underscore bracket volatility, with top seeds' experience tempering underdog momentum.
