Paul Skenes holds a slim edge in trader consensus at 27% implied probability for the 2026 NL Cy Young, fueled by his runner-up finish in 2024 voting with a 1.96 ERA and 170 strikeouts over 133 innings, but the race stays bunched due to a cluster of high-velocity young arms with massive upside. Hunter Greene (22.9%) and Pirates teammate Mitch Keller (22.8%) trail closely on breakout 2024 campaigns—Greene's 2.75 ERA and 103-mph heat, Keller's innings-eating reliability—while Brewers prospect Jacob Misiorowski (20.6%) surges on minor-league dominance signaling rapid MLB ascent. Injury histories for veterans like Sale and Strider, plus workload limits for rookies, keep the wisdom of crowds cautious amid unpredictable pitcher health and rotation battles.
