This market will resolve to "Yes" if the official closing price for Alphabet Inc. (GOOGL) on the final day of trading of the specified week (normally Friday) is higher than the listed price. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No." If the final session is shortened (for example, due to a market-holiday schedule), the official closing price published for that shortened session will still be used for resolution. If no official closing price is published for that session (for example, due to a trading halt into the close, system issue, delisting, or other disruption), the market will use the last valid on-exchange trade price of the regular session as the effective closing price. The resolution source for this market is Yahoo Finance, specifically the Alphabet Inc. (GOOGL) "Close" prices available at https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/GOOGL/history, published under "Historical Prices." In the event of a stock split, reverse stock split, or similar corporate action affecting the listed company during the listed time frame, this market will resolve based on split-adjusted prices as displayed on Yahoo Finance.Alphabet's GOOGL shares have rallied over 6% during the week of April 13, closing at $341.84 on April 17 after hitting a daily high of $342.32, buoyed by fresh optimism around AI advancements and a new long-term energy deal with NiSource to power data centers. Trading volume exceeded 25 million shares amid broader tech sector strength, with the stock approaching its 52-week high of $349 and analyst consensus target of $377 implying further upside potential. Year-to-date gains stand at 9%, supported by robust cloud growth expectations ahead of Q1 2026 earnings on April 29. Proximity to week-end resolution heightens focus on intraday volatility and Friday's close versus key thresholds.
