UFC bantamweight champion Merab Dvalishvili's implied 88% probability as Petr Yan's next opponent stems from UFC CEO Dana White's recent announcement confirming their title fight as the co-main event for UFC 311 on January 18, 2025, in Los Angeles. This matchup pits the surging champion, fresh off his dominant UFC 306 decision win over Sean O'Malley, against former titleholder Yan, who earned contender status with a gritty unanimous decision over Song Yadong at UFC 299 in March. Trader consensus reflects the rarity of late fight changes post-announcement, bolstered by both fighters' health updates and no conflicting bookings. Potential challengers like Umar Nurmagomedov linger at 5% due to his rising rankings and callouts, but shifts could arise from weigh-in issues, injuries, or promotional pivots amid bantamweight reshuffling.
