Duke leads preseason trader consensus to reach the 2025 NCAA Men's Basketball national championship game, bolstered by No. 1-ranked freshman Cooper Flagg and a top transfer portal class including Maliq Brown, amid the NIL-fueled roster rebuild era. Houston, AP Poll No. 3 with returning Final Four experience from 2024, and Kansas, loaded with five-star recruits like Flagg's peer AJ Dybantsa indirectly boosting depth, follow closely in implied probabilities. Recent AP preseason poll release last week crystallized sentiment after fall signing period closed, with John Calipari's Arkansas squad surging via transfers like Trevon Brazile. No injuries reported; early non-con schedules like Maui Invitational loom as key tests before March Madness bracket reveal.
