This is a polymarket on the driver who achieves the fastest lap at the 2026 F1 Japanese Grand Prix, scheduled for Mar 29, 2026. If the 2026 F1 Japanese Grand Prix is canceled or rescheduled to a date after Apr 5, 2026, this market will resolve to "Other." This market will resolve in favor of the driver who is officially credited with the fastest lap in the Final Classification published by the FIA following the conclusion of the race. The fastest lap must be set during the race itself; times from practice sessions, qualifying, or any other sessions are not considered. If no driver completes a lap during the race (e.g., due to a red flag ending the race prematurely), this market will resolve to "Other." The resolution source will be the official Formula 1 website and a consensus of credible sports news reporting.Mercedes' commanding weekend pace at Suzuka has traders closely split between Andrea Kimi Antonelli and George Russell for Japanese Grand Prix fastest lap, with the teammates posting 1-2 finishes in FP1, FP3, and qualifying—Antonelli on pole with a 1:28.778 lap ahead of Russell by just 0.298s. Antonelli's FP3 benchmark of 1:29.362 edged Russell by 0.254s, underscoring their single-lap superiority on soft tires, while Oscar Piastri's FP2 best kept McLaren in contention. Max Verstappen's Q2 exit tempers his 16.4% implied probability despite Red Bull's historical race pace here, as tire strategy and top-10 classification will decide the point amid Mercedes' low-drag setup favoring high-speed sectors. Piastri, Charles Leclerc, and Lewis Hamilton trail as strategic wildcards in this bunched market.
