Mumbai Indians top trader consensus at 23% implied probability for the 2026 IPL title, fueled by their retention of elite core—Rohit Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah, Suryakumar Yadav, and Tilak Varma—plus auction pickups like Mitchell Santner and Robin Minz, leveraging five prior championships and captaincy stability. The race stays bunched, however, as the November 2024 mega auction leveled rosters across franchises, with Royal Challengers Bengaluru bolstering Virat Kohli's leadership via Rajat Patidar and Yash Dayal retentions alongside high-profile buys like Liam Livingstone, while Chennai Super Kings retained Ruturaj Gaikwad, Ravindra Jadeja, and Matheesha Pathirana for spin-heavy continuity. IPL parity persists through unpredictable playoffs, youth infusions, and looming 2026 retentions post-2025 season form.
