Mercedes teammates George Russell and Kimi Antonelli dominate trader consensus for the 2026 F1 Drivers' Championship, reflecting their stranglehold on early-season standings after three Grands Prix amid new chassis and power unit regulations favoring the Silver Arrows. Antonelli surged to the lead with 72 points via back-to-back victories, including pole and win at Suzuka's Japanese GP where he outpaced Russell, who dropped to P4 on untimely safety car timing despite a strong qualifying scrap. Russell sits second on 63 points with consistent podiums, prompting markets to imply his experience edge in teammate rivalry will reclaim supremacy, while Ferrari's Charles Leclerc (49 points) trails distant third amid McLaren and Red Bull struggles.
