As top seed in WTT Contender Tunis 2026, Flavien Coton enters his quarterfinal matchup against Andrej Gacina with strong momentum from gritty wins over Andrei Putuntica in the round of 32 and compatriot Jules Rolland in the round of 16 over the past 48 hours, showcasing his resilience in down-to-the-wire battles. Ranked around No. 26 in ITTF senior men's singles versus Gacina's No. 95, the Frenchman's higher standing, youth, and recent doubles title in Chennai reflect superior current form that underpins trader consensus at 67.5% implied probability. Gacina, a 39-year-old Croatian veteran with past WTT successes, advances via qualifying but faces stylistic matchup challenges against Coton's attacking shakehand play, keeping the underdog viable for an upset.
