Third-seeded Nicolas Mejia (ATP No. 185) faces Mexican wild card Alex Hernandez (No. 439) in the San Luis Potosi Challenger Round of 32 on outdoor hard courts at high altitude, where the ball travels faster. Mejia holds a 3-1 head-to-head edge, including a straight-sets win here last year, but Hernandez pulled off a three-set upset over him in Morelia's R32 just last week before both fell in the Round of 16—Mejia to Borna Gojo, Hernandez to Andres Andrade. No injuries or withdrawals reported; Hernandez gains home-crowd boost and local acclimation, while Mejia's superior ranking and Challenger experience drive trader sentiment toward a competitive matchup.
