This market will resolve to "Biden" if Joseph Biden files to run for President of the United States in the 2024 election before Ronald DeSantis. This market will resolve to "DeSantis" if Ronald DeSantis files to run for President of the United States in the 2024 election before Joseph Biden.

For the purposes of resolving this market "files to run for President of the United States in the 2024 election" will be satisfied by at least one of the following criteria becoming true for a candidate through either individual action or action through authorized representatives:
-Files a Statement of Candidacy for the office of President of the United States in the 2024 election with the Federal Election Commission (FEC)
-Amends an existing Statement of Candidacy for the office of President of the United States in the 2024 election with the FEC
-Designates a principal campaign committee for the office of President of the United States in the 2024 election
-Otherwise files or communicates with the FEC with the same effect as the filing of a Form 2 Statement of Candidacy for the 2024 election.

If neither named individual files to run for President of the United States in the 2024 election by December 31, 2023, 11:59:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to 50-50.

Please note that any informal declarations by Joseph Biden/Ronald DeSantis and/or their representatives regarding their intentions to run will have no bearing on this market; only the above criteria will be used to resolve this market. This market will resolve based on the FEC (e.g https://www.fec.gov/), however a consensus of credible reporting may suffice.
