Stian Gregersen leads trader consensus for 2026 MLS Defender of the Year at 38.9% implied probability, driven by his standout 2025 season with Atlanta United, where he paced the league in interceptions per 90 minutes and contributed to 12 clean sheets amid the Five Stripes' playoff push. Zac McGraw (27.5%) gains traction from San Jose Earthquakes' defensive turnaround, logging top-five marks in blocks and tackles, while Rudy Camacho (25.1%) benefits from Columbus Crew's championship pedigree and his aerial dominance. Jack Elliott (21.9%) holds steady via Philadelphia Union's set-piece prowess. Recent factors include Gregersen's full recovery from a minor hamstring tweak, McGraw's contract extension, and Camacho's summer form surge, though the full 2026 slate tempers long-term certainties with rest advantages and matchup variance shaping crowd wisdom.
