South Africa Women's thrilling 2-wicket victory in the 1st ODI at Hagley Oval has driven trader consensus to 100% implied probability for them clinching the three-match ODI series, reflecting the wisdom of crowds after Ayabonga Khaka's career-best 6/56 bowled New Zealand out for 268 before Kayla Reyneke's unbeaten 42 and last-ball six sealed a dramatic chase to 269/8. This opener win, following New Zealand's 4-1 T20I series triumph, underscores South Africa's superior ODI depth with strong batting partnerships from Annerie Dercksen (72) and Sune Luus (53), plus effective bowling under lights after winning the toss. While New Zealand's home advantage persists at Basin Reserve for the next two ODIs, a 2-0 comeback would require flawless execution amid potential weather disruptions or injury concerns to key players like Amelia Kerr or Maddy Green (85 in opener).
