Norway holds a slight edge entering the Portugal T20I Tri-Series opener against France at Santarem Cricket Ground, buoyed by winning four of their last five T20Is—including a 22-run triumph over France in the August 2025 Viking Cup—while France has dropped four recent outings amid struggles in team cohesion. ICC rankings underscore Norway at 42nd (rating 70) versus France's 52nd (46), with key performers like Norway's opener Khizer Ahmed and strike bowler Ahmadullah Shinwari in form against France's hard-hitting Mukhtar Ghulami and seamer Noman Amjad. The venue's T20 stats show balanced conditions (avg. 1st inns 160, 8 chases won in 15 games), favoring pacers via bounce; toss winner may opt to bowl first, heightening upset potential in this associate matchup.
