Southern Super Stars' disqualification from Legends League Cricket 2026, announced around March 24, led to their tournament exit and points redistribution, with Mumbai Spartans awarded a victory by default in their recent head-to-head encounter originally scheduled for late March. This boosted MS to fourth in the points table with 2 wins from 5 matches, securing a semi-final spot against Royal Riders Punjab, buoyed by Suresh Raina's leadership, Carlos Brathwaite's all-round impact, and S Sreesanth's new-ball threat. SSS struggled with inconsistent form prior to exit, hampered by rain-affected games and tactical lapses despite Yusuf Pathan's presence. Traders note MS's momentum from a narrow 17-run win over India Tigers, while pitch conditions at venues like Gwalior favored pace bowling.
