Yannick Hanfmann, seeded No. 8 at ATP No. 64, enters as the ranking favorite over No. 91 Jesper de Jong in their Grand Prix Hassan II Round of 32 clay-court clash, with no prior head-to-head. Both excel on clay—Hanfmann at 64% career win rate (5-2 YTD 2026) and de Jong similarly strong (4-2 YTD on surface via challengers)—but Hanfmann's baseline grinding and Marrakech experience edge trader consensus. De Jong arrives off a competitive second-round loss to Edas Butvilas in the Montemar Challenger last week, while Hanfmann builds momentum from recent clay wins post-Miami qualifying exit. No injuries reported; outdoor conditions could favor endurance in best-of-three sets.
