Juan Manuel Cerundolo and Pedro Martinez advanced to the Rolex Monte Carlo Masters qualifying final with straight-sets wins on Saturday—Cerundolo defeating Hugo Nys 6-3, 6-3 as the No. 3 seed, and Martinez routing Aleksandar Vukic 6-2, 6-4—setting up a clash on red clay where Martinez holds a 2-0 head-to-head edge from prior ATP meetings. Ranked No. 69 with a career-high reached last week, the Argentine Cerundolo boasts superior 2026 form (8-6 overall) and clay proficiency (64% career win rate), while No. 113 Martinez, fresh off a Bucharest opener loss to Daniel Altmaier, relies on Spanish clay expertise (63% win rate) and stylistic matchup advantages. No injuries reported; home-crowd boost for the Spaniard could factor on these outdoor courts.
