Parliamentary elections are scheduled to be held in Slovenia on March 22, 2026. This market will resolve according to the number of seats won by the Slovenian Democratic Party (SDS) in the Slovenian National Assembly (Državni zbor) as a result of this election. If the results are not known definitively by October 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to the lowest bracket. This market's resolution will be based solely on the number of seats won by the specified party, not any coalition it may be part of. This market will resolve based on the results of this election as indicated by a consensus of credible reporting. If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve based solely on the official results as reported by the Slovenian government, specifically the Slovenian Election Authority (Valmyndigheten) (dvk-rs.si/).Preliminary results from Slovenia's 22 March 2026 parliamentary election, with over 99% of votes counted, show the Slovenian Democratic Party (SDS) securing 28 seats in the 90-seat National Assembly under the proportional representation system, reflecting its 27.95% vote share—just behind Prime Minister Robert Golob's Freedom Movement at 28.63% and 29 seats. This outcome, confirmed by the state election commission, drives trader consensus toward under 30 seats for SDS, consistent with pre-election polls projecting limited gains amid a fragmented field where no bloc reached the 46-seat majority threshold. Final certification could theoretically adjust tallies via recounts or minority constituency seats, but such shifts appear improbable given the narrow margins and high vote count. Coalition negotiations now loom, prolonging uncertainty on government formation.
