Incumbent U.S. Representative Linda Sánchez is seeking reelection in California's newly redrawn 41st Congressional District, which now encompasses parts of southeast Los Angeles County following voter approval of Proposition 50 in November 2025. The June 2 top-two primary features Sánchez alongside Democratic challengers Hector De La Torre and Shonique Williams, as well as Republican Mitch Clemmons, with the top two vote-getters advancing regardless of party. Filing closed in March, and early campaign activity has centered on securing endorsements and voter outreach in this solidly Democratic district. The outcome will determine whether two Democrats or one from each party reach the November general election, with Sánchez's incumbency and name recognition positioning her as the frontrunner among traders.
