Several countries, including Morocco, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Kosovo, and Albania, have pledged troops, with the U.S. notifying Congress of over $206 million in funding for equipment and operations in July 2026. Israel’s security cabinet approved a legal framework in late July for a limited contingent of around 200 personnel from approved nations to operate in areas outside direct Israeli control, yet actual deployment has stalled amid disputes over Hamas disarmament timelines, Israeli withdrawals, and governance handover to the National Committee for the Administration of Gaza. Ongoing low-level Israeli operations and Hamas statements on weapons transfer continue to shape the uncertain path toward any scaled foreign intervention.
