Diogo Costa holds the strongest implied probability for most clean sheets among goalkeepers at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, driven by his standout 2025/26 club campaign at Porto where he has already secured 22 clean sheets and maintained a 64% shutout rate. Portugal’s balanced defensive structure and favorable early schedule further bolster expectations for his continued reliability between the posts. Courtois trails as Belgium’s experienced leader but faces greater uncertainty around team consistency, while Pickford and emerging options like Verbruggen reflect England’s and the Netherlands’ solid backlines yet lower projected tournament depth. Market pricing captures the collective view that Costa’s recent form, penalty-saving record, and distribution skills give him the clearest path to accumulating the highest number of clean sheets in the competition.
