Traders overwhelmingly favor fewer than 5,000 US flight delays on March 24 (95.8% implied probability), driven by favorable nationwide weather patterns, minimal air traffic control disruptions, and no reported FAA ground stops or major airline issues as of early afternoon. Real-time trackers like FlightAware show under 2,000 delays accumulating so far, well below historical averages for late March, reflecting smooth operations at key hubs like Atlanta, Chicago, and New York. This commanding position stems from the day's uneventful progression absent catalysts like winter storms or cyber incidents. Realistic challenges include late-afternoon thunderstorms in the Southeast or unexpected technical outages, potentially pushing totals into the 5,000-6,500 range if volumes surge toward evening peaks.
