Trader consensus heavily favors 2.7 million to 2.9 million TSA checkpoint screenings on March 22, driven by peak spring break travel demand following record volumes earlier in the month. TSA data showed 2.98 million passengers on March 16—the highest ever for a non-holiday Saturday—with March 17-21 averaging 2.7-2.8 million amid strong domestic leisure flights and favorable weather in major hubs. Friday timing boosts expectations for weekend getaways, while robust airline capacity and no widespread disruptions like storms limit downside risks below 2.5 million. Elevated odds for 2.9M-3.1M reflect potential for another near-record surge.
