Barcelona leads the LaLiga table by four points over Real Madrid after 29 matches (73-69 pts), with a superior +50 goal difference fueling trader consensus at 68.5% implied probability for Madrid to secure second place amid the tight title race. Madrid's thrilling 3-2 derby victory over Atletico five days ago—highlighted by Vinicius Junior's brace despite a late red card—bolstered their recent form (two draws followed by three wins), maintaining pressure while widening the gap to third-placed Villarreal (58 pts) and fourth-placed Atletico (57 pts), who carry 12- and 13.5% chances respectively on consistent results but face a steep climb. Barcelona's five straight wins position them for 27.5% second-place odds if overtaken, while Betis languishes at 44 points after five draws.

In the event of a tie, this market will resolve to the team officially recognized by La Liga as finishing in second place. If multiple teams are officially awarded second place, the market will resolve to the team whose listed name comes first alphabetically.
If at any point it becomes impossible for the listed club to finish 2nd in the 2025-2026 LaLiga season (e.g. they are mathematically unable to achieve enough points), the market will resolve to "No".
If the 2025-2026 LaLiga season is cancelled, postponed after May 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or there is otherwise no 2nd place team declared within that timeframe, this market will resolve to “Other”.
The primary resolution source will be official information from the LaLiga. A consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
