Mercedes teammates Kimi Antonelli and George Russell lead trader consensus for Japanese Grand Prix fastest lap after dominating Friday practices and locking out the front row in qualifying at Suzuka, with Antonelli on pole via his back-to-back Q3 lap record. Antonelli topped FP1 alongside Russell's P1, set P2 in FP2 behind Piastri's McLaren benchmark, and went quickest in FP3, highlighting Mercedes' superior single-lap pace through Suzuka's high-speed Esses and 130R. The tight 32%-27.5% split reflects intra-team rivalry, tire strategy uncertainties, and potential late-race pushes on fresher mediums or softs, while McLaren's FP2 form keeps Piastri viable but trails the silver arrows' qualifying edge.

If the 2026 F1 Japanese Grand Prix is canceled or rescheduled to a date after Apr 5, 2026, this market will resolve to "Other."
This market will resolve in favor of the driver who is officially credited with the fastest lap in the Final Classification published by the FIA following the conclusion of the race. The fastest lap must be set during the race itself; times from practice sessions, qualifying, or any other sessions are not considered.
If no driver completes a lap during the race (e.g., due to a red flag ending the race prematurely), this market will resolve to "Other."
The resolution source will be the official Formula 1 website and a consensus of credible sports news reporting.
